Lasse Soerensen

Lasse Soerensen, better known online as "Wistern" or "WisternJL", is a Danish professional poker player. He rose to prominence as an online tournament specialist and Twitch streamer, and was a member of PokerStars Team Pro Online from 2021 to 2025.

Soerensen discovered poker through a friend and quickly fell in love with the game. He began playing professionally at age 19, dropping out of his finance studies at university to pursue his dream.

Soerensen plays exclusively on PokerStars under the screen name "Wistern". One of his most notable online achievements came in 2018 when he finished 7th in the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) for $5,000.

In April 2021, Soerensen joined PokerStars Team Pro Online as a sponsored ambassador. He described it as "an extremely exclusive club of incredibly talented individuals" and said reaching that goal meant more than most people realize. He left the team in the summer of 2025.

Soerensen is a regular Twitch streamer with a relaxed, laid-back personality. He gained a significant following through his streams, often setting fun challenges such as bankroll challenges. A major milestone came on April 19, 2019, when fellow PokerStars Team Pro member Lex Veldhuis raided his stream, sending thousands of viewers to his channel.

While primarily an online player, Soerensen has also cashed in live events. In 2023, he placed 943rd in the €1,100 Estrellas Poker Tour Main Event at EPT Barcelona for €1,880. In 2025, he finished 488th in the €1,150 Main Event of the Irish Open for €2,270.
