After a day of play, only two Portuguese players advanced to Day 2: Tomé Moreira (Betfair Poker) and Amadeu Lima de Carvalho. Lima de Carvalho bagged 82,000 chips, while Moreira finished with 42,200. The chip leader at the time was PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano with 193,100 chips.
