Mads Hansen

Mads Hansen is a Danish former professional poker player whose recorded live tournament results span from 2010 to 2016. According to WSOP.com, he tallied four in-the-money finishes and total earnings of $102,152. His most significant result came in May 2010 at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Barcelona event, a €3,200+300 No-Limit Hold'em tournament, where he placed 5th out of 326 entries, earning €61,000 (approximately $75,000).

In July 2013, Hansen cashed at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Event #60: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em, finishing 20th out of 2,541 players for $17,426. He later appeared at the 2016 European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona festival, cashing in two events: a 319th place in the €5,300 Main Event (€5,630) and a 105th place in the €1,100 Estrellas Main Event (€2,690).

After his poker career, Hansen pursued an academic path, earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management from Aarhus University (2016–2020). He then joined Energi Danmark Group, working as a Junior Intraday Power Trader and later as an Intraday Power Trader from 2020 to 2023. In 2024, he moved into quantitative finance, joining Qube Research & Technologies as a Quantitative Trader, and was promoted to Quantitative Trading Director in 2026.
