Manuel Miranda first appeared on the live tournament radar in 2017. At the WSOP Circuit Casino Estoril Event #4, he finished 25th out of 469 entries, earning €2,734. Later that year, he led a group of seven Portuguese players into Day 3 of the Italian Poker Open (IPO) at Casino di Campione, bagging 476,000 chips as the chip leader among them.

In December 2021, Miranda won the Openner of the Solverde Poker Season Main Event, a €150 buy-in tournament with 261 entries.
