Miguel Bolivar

Bolivar Palacios was born around 1984 in Santiago de Veraguas, Panama. He studied industrial engineering and worked in the field for only five months before receiving a $300 check that he deposited online, kickstarting his poker career. His online alias is "Ramux", and he quickly became a consistent winner, amassing over $350,000 in virtual tournament earnings.

Palacios made a name for himself on the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT), reaching three final tables. His best result came at LAPT Rosario in Brazil, where he finished second for $188,280. This performance solidified his reputation as one of Panama's top poker talents.

Palacios has recorded five WSOP cashes between 2023 and 2025, totaling $29,240. His strongest performance came in the 2025 WSOP Circuit - Hilton Panama $500 Mini Main Event, where he placed 3rd for $15,600. Other notable cashes include a 50th place in the $1,700 Main Event ($4,300) and a 96th place in a $2,750 Mystery Bounty event ($4,100).

One of Palacios' most memorable deep runs came at the 2011 PCA Main Event ($10,000 buy-in, 1,560 entrants). He entered Day 6 as the chip leader with 2,445,000 chips. Although he ultimately fell short of the final table, his performance guaranteed him a career-best payday at the time and showcased his ability to compete against the world's best.

Palacios is described as a member of the "Rat Pack of Panama", a group including other prominent Panamanian players like Jose Severino and Victor Lemos. His style is aggressive and well-suited for large-field tournaments. He has expressed the ambition "to become a millionaire" through poker, a goal he has consistently worked toward.
