In 2015, Sunil won the Grand Prix Poker Tour (GPT) stop at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge stadium. According to PokerNews, he was involved in a key hand where he opened from the cutoff, then folded to a three-bet and a shove from Alex Todd, who was eliminated by Chris Da-Silva's aces.

Earlier in his career, at the 2015 UKIPT Isle of Man, Sunil (recorded as Sunil Moti) was involved in a memorable hand against Fintan Gavin. Gavin recounted how Sunil bet three streets on a board showing a five, only to release his hand when Gavin raised the river, showing a bluff.
