Moti Sunil, also recorded as Sunil Mistri on live poker databases, has been a regular on the UK tournament circuit for over a decade. According to The Hendon Mob, his first recorded cash came in 2011 at the GUKPT Goliath Main Event. He has since amassed over $439,000 in live earnings, with his best cash of $53,404.

In 2015, Sunil won the Grand Prix Poker Tour (GPT) stop at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge stadium. Entering the event with a £70 buy-in, he outlasted a field of 3,200 players to claim the £35,000 top prize. As reported by Bluff Europe, Sunil (nicknamed 'Sunny') described himself as a telephone engineer by day, and the victory nearly doubled his previous best live tournament score. He defeated Pak Chu heads-up to take the title.

Sunil has consistently performed well in the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT). Notable results include a 4th place finish in the 2023 GUKPT Main Event for £24,100, a 13th place in the 2024 GUKPT Main Event for £4,150, and a 33rd place in the 2022 edition for £2,680. He also cashed in the GUKPT Goliath Main Event in 2015 (10th for £2,700) and 2019 (174th for £630).

In October 2024, Sunil reached the final table of the £888 Main Event at online poker LIVE Coventry, finishing in 8th place for £11,970. According to PokerNews, he was involved in a key hand where he opened from the cutoff, then folded to a three-bet and a shove from Alex Todd, who was eliminated by Chris Da-Silva's aces.

Earlier in his career, at the 2015 UKIPT Isle of Man, Sunil (recorded as Sunil Moti) was involved in a memorable hand against Fintan Gavin. Gavin recounted how Sunil bet three streets on a board showing a five, only to release his hand when Gavin raised the river, showing a bluff.
