Pierre Trauer

Pierre Michel Trauer is a German poker player who has been active in live and online tournaments since at least 2021. He is best known for his performances in WSOP Europe and WSOP International Circuit events, where he has made several final tables and cashed for notable amounts.

Trauer recorded his first major WSOP Europe cash in November 2021, finishing 8th in Event #9: €1,100 NLH Bounty Hunter for €7,639. In 2022, he cashed twice in the WSOP International Circuit at King's Resort in Rozvadov: a 7th-place finish in a €550 PLO Bounty Hunter (€2,873) and a 9th-place in a €550 NLH Monster Stack (€1,560). He also deep-ran the €1,700 Main Event in Rozvadov, where he was eliminated by Mario Colavita after getting his chips in with a straight against a full house.

During the 2022 Rozvadov Main Event, Trauer demonstrated aggressive play, check-raising and jamming on opponents. In one hand, he check-raised Matthias Nachtigal and snap-called a jam with pocket aces, leaving Nachtigal drawing dead. Earlier, he forced a fold from John Johnna with a river shove, building a stack approaching 500,000 chips. His style leans toward aggressive post-flop play, particularly when holding strong draws or made hands.

Trauer has also accumulated online WSOP cashes, including a deep run in the 2025 GGMasters Anniversary ($351) and a 79th-place finish in the 2023 WSOP Circuit €550 Monster Stack (€1,275). His total live earnings stand at $31,680, with 11 cashes and 4 final tables according to WSOP.com.

While not a household name, Pierre Trauer represents the competitive German poker contingent that regularly grinds the European circuit. His ability to repeatedly reach late stages in medium-to-high buy-in events underscores his skill and resilience at the tables.
