Ricardo Tombini

Ricardo Tombini's first recorded tournament victory came in June 2008 when he won the 5th stage of the Circuito Zona Leste in São Paulo. The event, organized by Nutzz Eventos, had a buy-in of R$250 and attracted 36 players. Tombini entered the final table as chip leader with 54,900 chips and ultimately defeated Mauro heads-up to claim the R$3,062 first prize.

Tombini has recorded 10 cashes in WSOP-branded events, totaling $22,111 in earnings. His best results include:

• 19th place in the 2017 BSOP Main Event for R$23,700

Outside of poker, Ricardo Tombini is a prominent businessman. Public records show he has been a partner or director in at least 25 companies since 1992, primarily in the state of Santa Catarina. His roles include Director at Barra do Rio Terminal Portuário S.A. (a port terminal with capital of R$138 million) and President of Mobipay Meios Digitais de Pagamentos S.A. Other ventures span real estate, vehicles, agriculture, technology, and food.

While detailed analysis of his playing style is limited, Tombini's early win at Circuito Zona Leste showcases a willingness to take calculated risks. In one key hand during the 2008 final table, he called an all-in with A♦2♦ against an opponent's Q♠8♦, hitting an ace on the flop to eliminate the bubble boy. His ability to build and maintain a big stack suggests an aggressive, pressure-oriented approach typical of many Brazilian players.
