First International Title: DeepStack Open Vietnam

In November 2018, the Asian Poker League (APL) and European poker brand DeepStack Open brought the event to Southeast Asia for the first time, hosted at the Pro Poker Club in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Sang-Yeon Hwang emerged victorious from a field of 154 entrants, winning VND 361,340,000 (approximately $15,500) and the inaugural DSO Vietnam championship. This was his first international live tournament title.
