Sergio Aido was born in Aviles, Spain and currently resides in London, England. He burst onto the live tournament scene in March 2013 by winning the £770 PokerStars UKIPT London Main Event for £144,555. This victory marked the beginning of a steady rise through the European circuit, with Aido soon becoming a fixture on the European Poker Tour (EPT). Over the next several years, he accumulated a series of cashes that established him as one of Spain's rising poker talents.
