Early Career
Simeon Spasov’s first live tournament victory came in July 2014, when he won €6,742 in a €300 buy-in event in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. He then took a break and did not return to the felt until 2017. In March 2019, he finished runner-up in the Merit Poker Top Guns High Roller ($5,000 buy-in) for $100,000, breaking the six-figure mark for the first time.
Two WSOP Gold Bracelets
Spasov had his breakthrough at the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP). He defeated 1,976 opponents in Event #49: $2,000 No-Limit Hold’em, including a heads-up victory over Canadian superstar Mike Watson, to capture his first WSOP gold bracelet and $527,944.
At the 2024 WSOP, he won again, topping a field of 2,526 in Event #12: $1,500 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em to earn his second bracelet and $439,815. He became one of the few Bulgarian players with multiple WSOP gold bracelets.
