Early Life and Background
Yevhenii Kirychenko was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and moved to the United States at a young age. He discovered poker during the 2003 boom, starting with small home games and later building his bankroll online without a deposit.
Live Tournament Success
Kirychenko's breakout year was 2009. In April, he won the WPT Five Star World Poker Classic $25,000 Championship in Las Vegas, earning $2,149,960. That same year, he also won the WCOOP Main Event for $1,715,200, cementing his dual-threat status.
In 2014, he captured the Aussie Millions $100,000 Challenge, defeating a tough field to take home $1,791,248 (AUD 2,000,000). He also finished runner-up in the 2011 WSOP $25,000 Heads-Up Championship ($525,980) and placed 22nd in the 2013 WSOP Main Event ($285,408).
