100bb 3-Bet Jam

100大盲注三bet全下

**Term:** 100bb 3-Bet Jam In deep stack pre-flop situations with effective stacks around 100 big blinds, a player makes a third bet (3-bet) and then immediately goes all-in.

100bb 3-Bet Jam

Overview

100bb 3-Bet Jam is an aggressive preflop strategy in Texas Hold'em, commonly seen in deep stack (about 100 big blinds) cash games or early tournament stages. This term describes: when a player opens and another player directly 3-bets all-in with a stack of about 100 big blinds.

Usage Scenarios

  • Against aggressive players: When opponents often raise and have a high fold to 3-bet, this move can be used to apply pressure.
  • Value hands: With top strong hands like AA, KK, you can directly go all-in to avoid unfavorable postflop situations and hope to get called by worse hands.
  • Bluff: In certain situations (e.g., wide opponent range), use medium pairs or suited connectors for a 3-bet all-in to generate fold equity.

Strategy Considerations

  • Range balancing: If you only all-in with strong hands, opponents can easily fold; if only with bluffs, opponents can accurately call. Good players mix value and bluff all-ins.
  • Calling range: Opponent's calling range usually includes TT+, AQ+ and other strong hands, but it is also affected by position and opponent tendencies.
  • Stack depth: 100bb is medium-deep stack. The risk-reward balance of an all-in. With very deep stacks (200bb+), the EV of an all-in may decrease because opponent's calling range is stronger.
  • Position factors: 3-bet all-in is more effective from late position (e.g., button) because you can exploit the wide calling range of the player.

Example

Suppose you are on the button with effective stack of 100bb. The CO player opens to 3bb, you hold A♠K♠. If you think CO's opening range is wide and may fold, you can directly go all-in for 100bb, expecting to win the pot immediately, or to go against AQ, medium pairs, etc. preflop.
