This situation commonly occurs in low buy-in, fast structure, or high-level tournaments. Due to the high blind levels, players can hardly engage in normal post-flop play, and decisions primarily revolve around preflop all-ins or folds (push/fold).
Strategic Points
- Push/Fold Strategy: At 10bb depth, raising and then calling almost commits the entire stack, making a preflop all-in the primary offensive move. Players need to adjust their shoving range based on pot odds, opponent ranges, and ICM factors.
- Position Importance: The Button (BTN) and Cutoff (CO) positions have the highest shoving frequency due to the ability to steal blinds with manageable risk. Play from the Small Blind (SB) requires more caution because of positional disadvantage.
