94s

94同花

Term: 94s A starting hand consisting of a 9 and a 4 of the same suit.

Context: Term article: 94 Suited (94s)

94s is a low suited connector starting hand with weak strength. It is usually not part of a standard opening range, but can be played in certain situations, such as defending from the big blind or when in late position in an unraised pot. Due to the large gap between the cards (9 and 4, a gap of 5), it is difficult to form straight draws, and its main value lies in the potential for a flush. Hitting a flush can offer good implied odds. However, in multi-way pots, it is vulnerable to being dominated by larger flushes. Generally, it is recommended to play cautiously from positions with high fold equity or with deep stacks.
