Poker Term

大盲注跟注彩虹翻牌(BB Preflop Bet-Call Rainbow)

After the big blind called a preflop raise, the flop comes with three cards of different suits rainbow flop.

Term Definition

This term describes a common postflop situation in Texas Hold'em: the big blind (BB) calls an opponent's open-raise preflop, and the flop comes with three cards all of different suits (i.e., a rainbow flop).

Strategic Significance

A rainbow flop typically means a lower probability of flush draws, making the board relatively dry. In the big blind's calling range, value hands such as top pair, middle pair, bottom pair, and gutshot straight draws dominate. As the preflop caller, the big blind can more frequently employ continuation bets (C-bet) or check-raises on rainbow boards, since the opponent has fewer drawing combinations. At the same time, rainbow boards reduce the frequency of the opponent's semi-bluffs with flush draws, making the big blind's decisions more dependent on made hand strength.

Typical Scenario Example

  • Preflop: CO raises to 3BB, big blind calls.
  • Flop: K♠ 7♦ 2♣ (rainbow).
  • The big blind may consider check-raising or leading out, representing Kx or a set, forcing the opponent to fold Ace-high or small/medium pairs.

Notes

This term is not a fixed strategy name but a shorthand for a specific situation (preflop call + rainbow flop). In actual gameplay, adjustments should be made based on opponent ranges, stack depths, and table dynamics.
