BTN 150bb偷盲(BTN 150bb Steal)

BTN 150bb Steal

In Texas Hold'em, when a player is on the button BTN with a stack depth of about 150 big blinds bb, the action of raising to attempt to steal the blinds.

Overview

BTN 150bb Steal refers to the strategy of executing a blind steal from the button position under deep stack conditions (approximately 150bb). With deep stacks, players can withstand more post-flop variance, thereby widening their stealing range, but they must be wary of resistance from the blinds (such as 3-bet or 4-bet).

Key Strategic Points

  • Range Adjustment: At 150bb depth, the BTN's stealing range is typically wider than at standard shallow stacks (e.g., 30-60bb), including more speculative hands (e.g., small pairs, suited connectors) to profit from implied odds.
  • Risk Control: With deep stacks, blind position players are more likely to 3-bet with a linear range (e.g., strong hands or well-structured hands). The BTN needs to balance raise frequency with 4-bet re-steals to avoid being squeezed.
  • Position Advantage: The BTN always has position advantage post-flop and can use delayed continuation bets or floats against the blinds to extract value across multiple streets.

Example

Typical scenario: Blinds 10/20, BTN stack 3000 (150bb), all folds to BTN. BTN may consider raising to 3bb (60) with hands like A5s, 76s, 22, etc., aiming to steal the blinds. If the blinds call, post-flop play can be adjusted based on board texture and opponent tendencies.

Notes

  • When blind players have a tight defending range or are skilled at deep-stack re-stealing, the BTN should tighten their stealing range accordingly.
  • Unlike shallow stacks, at 150bb depth the game requires more focus on post-flop decisions rather than direct blind steals, to avoid excessive losses in large pots.
