按钮位翻牌前下注-弃牌静态范围(BTN Preflop Bet-Fold Static)

Button player uses a fixed range to bet preflop and always folds when facing a re-raise.

Concept

BTN Preflop Bet-Fold Static is a simplified poker strategy commonly used by beginners or fixed-strategy bots. The Button (BTN) has the advantage of acting last preflop, so it can open-raise a wide range. Bet-Fold means first raising (typically an open-raise) and then folding if facing a re-raise (3-bet). Static means this strategy does not adjust based on opponent tendencies or table dynamics—the raising range and fold decisions are preset.

Typical Strategy Example

  • Raising range: e.g., 50% of starting hands (including all pairs, A-high, suited connectors, etc.).
  • Fold condition: Regardless of the opponent's 3-bet size, fold every hand (including high-quality hands that would normally continue).
  • No reaction: If facing a call or cold call, proceed as planned; no use of position to steal blinds or float.

Use and Limitations

This strategy is mainly used to simplify decisions or against opponents who rarely 3-bet. However, at higher skill levels, a static strategy is easily exploitable: opponents can frequently 3-bet to force the BTN to fold many hands and profit. More advanced strategies dynamically adjust the open-raising range and decide whether to call or 4-bet based on the opponent's 3-bet frequency and size.

Variations

  • Tight Static: Tighter raising range (e.g., 30%) to reduce losses from 3-bets.
  • Wide Static: Wider range (e.g., 70%) but with very high fold rate, essentially "spreading a net" from the blinds.

Static strategies are often used as a learning baseline; in actual play, dynamic adjustments are recommended.
