CO位75大盲注全下或弃牌策略(CO 75bb Push Fold)

CO 75bb Push Fold

Simplified strategy of only considering all-in or fold when holding about 75 big blind chips in the CO position.

Overview

CO 75bb Push Fold is a simplified strategy in poker tournaments where a player in the cutoff position with approximately 75 big blinds of effective stack only uses two actions: all-in (push) or fold, avoiding more complex actions like raises or calls. This strategy is typically used in specific scenarios such as late satellite stages or low‑aggression tournament structures. However, 75bb is a fairly deep stack, so using such an extreme simplification is not generally recommended. Thus, the term is more often seen in teaching models or particular tournament settings.

Applicable Conditions

  • Stack depth: About 75 big blinds, in the medium‑deep range.
  • Position: Cutoff (CO), which offers good opportunities to steal blinds.
  • Scenario: Opponents are tight, ICM pressure is low, or the tournament is in late stages but blinds are not yet too high. Note that using Push‑Fold with 75bb may reduce expected value (EV) because it sacrifices too much strategic flexibility.

Strategic Principles

  1. Simplified decisions: Limiting action options reduces complex calculations, allowing faster execution.
  2. Blind stealing and defense: The threat of an all‑in forces the blinds to fold or confront a weak range.
  3. Range adjustment: The pushing range typically includes strong hands, medium pairs, high cards, and some suited connectors; the folding range includes weak hands. Actual ranges should be adjusted based on opponents, but with 75bb the pushing range should be relatively tight to avoid being called by marginal hands and ending up in a disadvantageous spot.

Pros and Cons

  • Pros: Reduces thinking time, avoids mistakes in small/medium pots, suitable for beginners or low‑level tournaments.
  • Cons: Severely loses flexibility; cannot use small bets to steal blinds, make value bets, or bluff; disadvantage is significant when deep‑stacked.

Notes

  • This strategy is not a standard recommendation and should only be used in specific situations (e.g., very weak opponents, fast tournament pace) as a last resort.
  • In actual play, with 75bb it is better to adopt a diversified strategy (such as raising, calling, or limping) to maximize advantage.
  • In teaching examples, it is often used to demonstrate the Push‑Fold model, but one should be aware of its limitations.
