CO翻牌圈隔离底池(CO Flop Iso Pot)

CO Flop Iso Pot

Refers to a strategy on the flop where the player in the CO cutoff position bets or raises to isolate opponents, aiming to create a heads-up situation and leverage positional advantage.

Overview

CO Flop Iso Pot is a specific flop isolation strategy in Texas Hold'em. CO (Cutoff) is a favorable position directly to the right of the button, typically with high steal and continuation bet frequencies. On the flop, when the CO player faces multiple opponents, they bet or raise to "isolate" weaker opponents, with the goal of turning the pot into a heads-up situation, thereby maximizing positional and hand strength advantages.

Strategy Principles

  • Position Advantage: CO sits in a relatively late position after the flop, allowing observation of other players' actions. After isolation, CO becomes the last to act on subsequent streets, enabling better control of pot size and bluffing frequency.
  • Hand Range: CO players often enter pots with a wide range, but isolation raises on the flop require a strong top pair or draw to ensure sufficient equity against weaker hands.
  • Isolation Targets: Prioritize isolating weak players who check on the flop, or raise against small bets to force calling stations or drawing hands to fold.

Typical Scenarios

  • Preflop CO raises, Big Blind calls. On the flop, CO bets (C-bet), Big Blind check-raises, and CO re-raises (isolation) to drive out the Big Blind's weak draws.
  • Preflop CO raises, multiple callers. On the flop, CO bets, one player calls, and CO uses a raise to isolate that caller, preventing other players from drawing cheaply.

Considerations

  • Isolation bet sizes are typically larger to reduce opponents' pot odds for calling.
  • Overuse can lead to counterplay (e.g., facing a check-raise re-raise).
  • On wet boards (e.g., connected or flush draws), isolation is less effective because more draws exist, making opponents more likely to call.

Relationship to Other Terms

CO Flop Iso Pot combines position (CO), flop (Flop), and isolation (Iso), forming part of aggressive post-flop play. Unlike C-bet (continuation bet), which mainly maintains preflop range advantage, Iso Pot emphasizes actively creating a heads-up pot.
