CO位延迟持续下注(静态)(CO Preflop Delayed C-Bet Static)

After raising preflop from the cutoff CO, checking the flop, then making a static range-based continuation bet on the turn.

Overview

CO (Cutoff) is the position to the right of the button in Texas Hold'em, belonging to late position. The CO Preflop Delayed C-Bet Static is a mixed strategy aimed at balancing ranges and exploiting turn betting opportunities after checking the flop.

Components

  • CO Preflop: Refers to a player raising preflop from the CO position.
  • Delayed C-Bet: A delayed continuation bet, i.e., checking the flop and then betting on the turn. It is often used when the flop texture is unsuitable for a continuation bet, or to control the pot and induce bluffs from opponents.
  • Static: Indicates that the range for this delayed continuation bet is predetermined and does not adjust based on opponent tendencies or board dynamics.

Strategy Application

Under the GTO (Game Theory Optimal) framework, the static version of the delayed continuation bet means that when a player checks the flop, a portion of their range containing both strong hands and bluffs is retained for the turn, and the betting frequency and sizing are fixed. This strategy simplifies the decision-making process but may be exploited by observant opponents. In actual play, players often make dynamic adjustments based on opponents' tendencies after checking the flop, but the static version serves as a learning foundation.

Advantages and Disadvantages

  • Advantages: Easy to execute, reduces mental load; still profitable against unbalanced opponents.
  • Disadvantages: Lacks adaptability, can be exploited.
