CO翻牌前加注-弃牌静态策略(CO Preflop Raise-Fold Static)

Refers to a static strategy where, after raising preflop from the CO position, the player always folds to an opponent's 3bet without adjusting based on the opponent.

Overview

CO Preflop Raise-Fold Static is a preflop strategy for the Cut-Off (CO) position. The core of this strategy is: after opening with a raise (RFI, Raise First In) from the CO, if facing a 3bet from an opponent, the player will make a fixed fold decision, without dynamically adjusting based on the opponent's 3bet frequency or range.

Strategy Logic

  • Applicable Scenarios: Typically used against opponents with a tight or unknown 3bet range, or when the player wants to simplify decision-making and avoid complex range confrontations.
  • Static Meaning: Means the player does not adjust whether to fold or not based on the opponent's historical data, 3bet frequency, or table dynamics. Whether the opponent is aggressive or passive, the player will fold to a 3bet after raising.
  • Goal: Avoid contesting large pots out of position (CO is advantageous but not the button) against an opponent's strong range, while maintaining a certain raising frequency to steal blinds.

Pros and Cons

  • Pros: Simplifies decisions, reduces losses due to insufficient information or misjudgment; suitable for beginners or scenarios where the opponent's 3bet range is uncertain.
  • Cons: Easily exploited by experienced opponents. If they notice you always fold, they can attack your raises with a wider 3bet range, causing you to lose many blind-stealing opportunities.

Common Adjustments

  • In practice, pure static strategies are rarely used. Players usually adjust based on opponent characteristics, e.g., switching to 4bet or call against frequent 3bettors, and staying with folds against rare 3bettors.
  • Typical Example: Suppose you open-raise from CO with A♠K♣, and the opponent on the button 3bets. If you follow a static fold strategy, you would fold regardless of the opponent's 3bet frequency, even though calling or 4betting might be more valuable here.

  • 3bet: The second preflop raise, typically against an initial raise.
  • 4bet: A re-raise against a 3bet.
  • Static Strategy vs. Dynamic Strategy: Static strategy does not adjust to opponents; dynamic strategy changes based on opponent behavior.
