Why Delay the C-Bet?

Player A (CO) raises to 3BB with A♠J♠. BB calls. Flop: K♠Q♠5♣ (wet, flush and straight draws). Both check. Turn: 6♦ (retains wetness). Both check. River: 8♠ (completes flush). CO bets 75% pot. This is a delayed c-bet with a busted flush draw, representing the flush or a straight. BB folds many hands that missed draws.
