Poker Term

关煞位河牌开放动态(CO River Open Dynamic)

refers to the dynamic strategy employed by the cutoff CO player in no-limit Texas Hold'em when opening the betting on the river, taking into account the board texture, opponent's range, and balancing one's own range.

Overview

CO River Open Dynamic is a relatively detailed strategic concept in poker, emphasizing that the cutoff player, as the first to proactively bet on the river, must make decisions based on multiple factors. Due to its positional advantage, the cutoff usually has more information postflop, but river bets require careful balancing.

Core Factors

  • Board Structure: Wet boards (e.g., straight or flush draws) are more likely to induce opponents to call or raise, so the betting range should be more value-heavy; on dry boards (e.g., rainbow with no connections), the bluff percentage can be appropriately increased.
  • Opponent's Range: The opponent's range on the river should be inferred from their preflop and postflop actions. For example, if an opponent called on the flop and a dangerous card comes on the river, their range may contain more bluff catchers.
  • Range Balancing: To prevent opponents from easily exploiting the CO player, the betting range should include both value hands and bluffs, with the ratio adjusted based on the opponent.

Dynamic Adjustment Examples

  • If the river is a blank (no help) and the opponent's preflop range is tight, the CO can increase bluff frequency, as the opponent is likely to fold.
  • If the river completes a straight or flush and the opponent has a high tendency to call, the CO should focus on value betting and reduce bluffs.

Notes

This term is not a standard poker teaching concept and is more commonly seen in advanced strategy discussions or specific coaching courses. In practice, it should be combined with specific opponent dynamics and one's own table image.
