This stat is less common than traditional Fold to Steal stats (which focus on late positions like the cutoff or button), but it provides insight into how a player defends against early-position raises from opponents who may be opening light. A high Fold to Steal from UTG+1 (e.g., >80%) indicates a player who frequently surrenders their blinds to early-position raisers, making them exploitable by anyone willing to raise from UTG+1 with a wide range. Conversely, a low percentage (e.g., <50%) suggests a player who defends aggressively, often calling or three-betting.
Considerations
Because UTG+1 is not a standard stealing position, this stat is most useful against opponents who open from UTG+1 with a high frequency (often due to weak table dynamics or a personal tendency). However, the sample size may be small, so it should be interpreted with caution. It is also important to note that the stat typically only counts hands where the player is in the blinds and the UTG+1 player is the first to raise.
