轻诈唬频率(Light Bluff Frequency)

Light Bluff Frequency

The frequency of bluffing with marginal draws or weak made hands in early stages such as the flop or turn.

Meaning

Light Bluff Frequency is a measure of how often a player bluffs on the flop or turn using hands that have some equity but are not strong, such as bottom pair, gutshot draws, backdoor flush draws, rather than pure air hands with no showdown value.

Strategic Value

An appropriate light bluff frequency balances your value betting range, making it difficult for opponents to gauge your hand strength. Too high a frequency will be exploited by opponents who call more often; too low will make your range overly polarized. Skilled players adjust dynamically based on board texture and opponent tendencies.

Typical Scenarios

  • Flop: Holding bottom pair or a gutshot draw, bet on a dry board to force opponents to fold overcards or weak pairs.
  • Turn: When a draw misses but the opponent shows weakness, continue applying pressure with a backdoor draw.

Notes

Light bluffs should be chosen in spots with good reverse implied odds, and avoid overusing them in multiway pots or against calling stations. Also consider the playability of subsequent streets to ensure that even if called, you still have options to continue bluffing or make your hand.
