小盲翻前反偷静态(SB Preflop Resteal Static)

SB Preflop Resteal Static

A static strategy where the small blind player re-raises against an opponent's blind steal based on a fixed range rather than dynamic adjustment.

Concept

SB Preflop Resteal Static refers to a fixed and invariant range 3-bet (re-raise) strategy used from the Small Blind position when facing an opponent's (typically the Big Blind or Button) steal attempt. This strategy does not account for specific opponent tendencies or table dynamics; instead, it relies on a predetermined, often wider or tighter, 3-bet range to counter steals.

Principle & Function

  • Goal: Discourage opponents from excessive stealing, win dead money, and avoid complex situations caused by over-adjusting.
  • Applicable Scenarios: Suitable for beginners, early-stage play when opponent data is lacking, or as a simplified strategy in specific tournament phases (e.g., low ICM pressure).
  • Typical Range: For example, a fixed range such as "all pairs, all Ax with weak kickers, some suited connectors" used for 3-betting.

Differences from Dynamic Resteal

TypeCharacteristicsAdvantagesDisadvantages
Static RestealFixed range; independent of opponent dataSimple to use; reduces decision fatigueEasily exploited by experienced players; lower profit ceiling
Dynamic RestealAdjusts based on opponent steal frequency, fold-to-3bet, etc.Highly adaptable; higher long-term EVRequires extensive data; complex execution

Example

Assume effective stack of 100BB. The SB player consistently 3-bets to 8BB against a Button steal (open 2.5BB) using the following range: "22+, A2s+, K9s+, Q9s+, JTs+". This range remains unchanged regardless of opponent strategy – a classic example of a static resteal.

Notes

  • Overusing or having too wide a range can lead to frequent exploitative 4-bets.
  • In deep stack or aggressive games, the weaknesses of a static strategy become more pronounced.
  • It is recommended to gradually transition to dynamic adjustments based on opponent tendencies for better results.
