小盲位玩家在翻牌圈过牌后,于转牌圈在静态牌面上进行的延迟持续下注。
Overview
SB Turn Delayed C-Bet Static is a delayed continuation bet (Delayed C-Bet) made by the Small Blind on the turn on a static board after checking the flop. This strategy is common in heads-up pots (e.g., SB vs. BB) and aims to balance the range by checking the flop while applying pressure on the turn.
Applicable Scenarios
- Static Board: The flop is dry (e.g., J♠7♦2♣) and the turn is a blank (e.g., 4♥) that does not change the board structure or drawing possibilities.
- Opponent Range: The opponent in the Big Blind defends a wide range, and after checking the flop, their turn continuation bet frequency may decrease.
- Own Range: The Small Blind holds medium-strength hands (e.g., top pair weak kicker, middle pair) or air, and checking the flop avoids facing a raise or gathers information.
Strategy Logic
- Value Bet: After the Small Blind checks the flop on a static turn board, the opponent's weak range (e.g., bottom pair, high cards) often cannot withstand a second bet. The delayed C-Bet extracts value and avoids being put in a tough spot by a flop raise.
- Bluff: For air hands that completely missed the flop, a delayed C-Bet can force the opponent to fold weak pairs or high cards, especially when both players checked the flop, making the opponent more likely to hold a weak range.
- Range Balancing: Combined with a flop check-raise, the delayed C-Bet makes it difficult for the opponent to read the Small Blind's range.
Notes
- This strategy is effective on static boards but carries higher risk on dynamic boards (e.g., turn completes a straight or flush) or against aggressive opponents.
- Players should adjust frequency based on their own range and opponent tendencies to avoid becoming too predictable.
Typical Example
Take the flop J♠7♦2♣, with the Small Blind holding A♠J♦ (top pair top kicker) or K♣Q♣ (air). After checking the flop, the turn comes 4♥. The Small Blind can bet about 2/3 pot, using the static board to force a fold or extract value.
