Adam Friedman

Adam Friedman was born in Gahanna, Ohio, United States. He began his poker career in 2005, making a splash at the World Series of Poker Main Event where he finished 43rd out of 5,619 players for $235,390. Throughout the late 2000s, he regularly cashed in mixed-game tournaments, including 10th and 14th-place finishes in the $10,000 8-Game Championships at the 2008 and 2009 WSOP.

Friedman claimed his first WSOP bracelet in 2012, winning Event #15: $5,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo for $269,037 after defeating Todd Brunson heads-up. He narrowly missed a second bracelet in 2016 with a runner-up finish in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud.

His signature achievement came in the $10,000 Dealer's Choice Championship. In 2018, he won his second bracelet in that event for $293,275, defeating Stuart Rutter heads-up. He successfully defended his title in 2019, this time beating Shaun Deeb heads-up for $312,417. After the 2020 WSOP was postponed due to COVID-19, Friedman returned in 2021 to win the same event for a third consecutive time, defeating Phil Hellmuth heads-up and earning $248,350. This feat made him the first player in WSOP history to win three consecutive bracelets in the same event.

In 2022, Friedman captured his fifth bracelet in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship, winning $248,254. As of 2023, his total live tournament winnings exceed $4,200,000, and his latest PokerNews profile lists career earnings of $5,198,682.

Beyond the WSOP, Friedman has achieved success in other high-profile events. In 2014, he finished sixth in the WPT LA Poker Classic Main Event for $200,440. In 2025, he won a PGT 8-Game Mix event at the ARIA Las Vegas for $170,200. His consistent deep runs in mixed-game events include a 3rd-place finish in the 2011 WSOP $1,500 H.O.R.S.E.
