Angelo Patane hails from Partinico, in the province of Palermo, Sicily, and is one of the region's most successful poker players. He gained early recognition by participating in the reality show "La Casa degli Assi," dedicated to sports Texas Hold'em. Patane is competitive at high levels both live and online, earning respect for his disciplined play.

Patane’s live tournament record features several notable cashes on the Italian Poker Tour (IPT) and other European circuits. His best live result came in June 2011 at the IPT Campione, where he finished 7th in the €1,000 NL Hold'em Main Event for €22,586. Other highlights include:

Earlier, at the Malta Poker Festival, Patane called an all-in with A♥10♦ on a 10♠4♣6♥5♣ board against June Jenkins, who held 10♣9♣; the river 3♣ gave Jenkins a flush, delivering a bad beat to Patane.

Patane is characterized as a tight-aggressive (TAG) player, emphasizing strong hand selection and positional awareness.
