Anke Berner

Anke Berner is a German poker player who also worked in the television industry. According to Crew United, she served as an editor for the documentary series "4 kämpfen für Dich" on ProSieben [de] in 2010 and directed the TV magazine "Audi TV (Web-TV) DTM 10 Hockenheim" in the same year.

Berner is primarily known for her performances in European live poker events, particularly in the European Poker Tour (EPT) and other major tours. Her most documented achievement came at the 2012 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. In Event 44: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em, she entered with a stack of just 7,600 but survived to become the last woman remaining among 2,949 entries. By Level 16, she had built her stack to 95,500, though she ultimately did not win the bracelet. The event was won by Rocco Palumbo.

Berner is described as a highly aggressive player, employing a loose-aggressive (LAG) strategy. She frequently raises and bets to apply pressure and control pots, using her table image to balance value bets with bluffs.
