Anson Tsang, also known as Yan Shing Tsang or by his online moniker "Tara@0z", is a Hong Kong semi-professional poker player who has made a significant impact on both live and online tournaments. As of October 2024, his live tournament winnings exceed $3,900,000, placing him seventh among Hong Kong poker players in all-time earnings. Tsang is best known for his three World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelets and his deep runs in high-stakes events across Asia and Europe.

Tsang began playing poker twelve years ago after stumbling upon a free online poker game advertisement on Facebook. His passion for the game quickly grew, and he soon transitioned to live play. His biggest early career score came in 2013 when he finished 7th in the GuangDong Ltd Asia Millions Main Event, earning $921,004 – the largest cash of his career to date. In 2017, he finished second in a HK$80,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shot Clock event at the Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP) for $204,100.

Tsang made history in 2018 by becoming the first Hong Kong player to win a WSOP bracelet. He has expressed a preference for tournament play over cash games, citing the excitement and structure. In a 2020 interview with PokerNews, he stated: "I like PLO and 2-7 Triple Draw. I definitely prefer to play tournaments and enjoy that excitement." After winning a Hold'em bracelet online, he expressed a desire to win a mixed game bracelet in Las Vegas and compete for WSOP Player of the Year.

Tsang is married and has a daughter. He maintains a relatively low public profile but is active on the tournament circuit, particularly in Asia and during the WSOP series in Las Vegas and Europe. His success has inspired many players in Hong Kong and the broader Asian poker community.
