Alexandr Trofimov first made headlines in 2011 when he won the SCOOP-32-M: $5,200 FL Hold'em [6-Max] for $85,100. That victory put him on the map as a force in online high-stakes tournaments.

In May 2017, Trofimov shipped the SCOOP-15-H: $25,000 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller], $2M Gtd for $702,659 after a heads-up deal with Belarus' Nikita Bodyakovskiy. He dominated the final table, eliminating every other player en route to the title. The tournament drew 93 entries (including re-entries), creating a $3,065,625 prize pool.

Trofimov has 19 WSOP cashes totaling $158,000 in earnings. His best result came in the 2020 WSOP Online Main Event, where he finished 4th for $55,880.
