Bruno Filipe de Campos Leote began his live tournament poker career in Portugal, with his first recorded cash in September 2011 at the PokerStars Solverde Poker #8 in Vilamoura, where he earned €455. He quickly established himself in the local scene, cashing in several events across the Solverde Poker Season and Casino Poker Series.

Leote's biggest early success came in June 2012 when he won the PokerStars Solverde Poker Season Monte Gordo. The €110 buy-in No Limit Hold'em event saw him take first place and €3,828, a victory he described as "managing and stealing some pots." This remains one of his most notable titles.
