Christoffer Jensen

Christoffer Jensen (34) from Nordreisa won the Norwegian Championship (NM) in Fixed Limit Hold'em on April 2, 2022, at a tournament with 219 entries. He defeated Jarle Pedersen heads-up to claim the title and first prize of €18,305. Pedersen took second place and €12,300. The victory was particularly emotional for Jensen, who described it as "something we have all dreamed about."

Jensen has been playing poker for about 20 years. The 2022 NM was his ninth or tenth participation in the event. Friends Mats Båtnes and Marius Johansen noted that Jensen is a "newcomer" relative to their circle but still an accomplished player. They highlighted that he is the first Norwegian champion from Nordreisa, a town in northern Norway with a strong poker community that includes other notable players like Odd_Oddsen, Gjeddekongen, Eirik Bjørklund, and Stian Amundsgård.

After his win, Jensen said, "There were a lot of emotions. You become both moved and proud. You are Norwegian champion! It's huge!" He also mentioned that winning the title is "one of the biggest things you can do." The victory was celebrated in Dublin with vodka Redbulls, as Jensen does not drink beer. Other notable results from the tournament included Tobias Leknes finishing third and Monica Eilertsen Vaka placing fifth.
