Frank Funaro

Frank Funaro is from the United States and graduated with a background in real estate. He initially gained fame in online poker, once ranking #1 in the United States on PocketFives. His first live tournament cash came in a 2016 event at Borgata, after which he gradually transitioned into a live high roller specialist.

Funaro's largest single cash came from the 2022 WPT World Championship, where he finished fifth in the $10,400 buy-in Main Event at Wynn Las Vegas, earning $1,301,000. That result pushed his annual total to $1,556,530, nearly three times his previous year's earnings.

In 2024, he won WSOP Event #57: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em for $612,997. In 2023, he placed sixth in WSOP Event #16: $25,000 High Roller for $270,238. He also finished fourth in the 2026 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown ($240,000) and third in the 2025 PokerStars Open Philadelphia $1,100 Main Event ($125,708).

Funaro has accumulated more than 160 WSOP cashes. In October 2022, he won WSOP Online Event #29: $1,000 NLH Championship, earning a WSOP online bracelet and $94,097. He has also made final tables in multiple WSOP high rollers, including 2023 Event #35: $10,000 Secret Bounty (60th, $11,876) and 2024 Event #21: $25,000 High Roller 6-Max (24th, $53,483).

Funaro has over $1,767,995 in career WPT earnings. He has 13 WPT cashes, including a fifth-place finish in the 2022 WPT World Championship, fourth in the 2026 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, and 11th in the same event in 2025 ($65,000). His total WPT points stand at 2,225.

Though primarily a Texas Hold'em tournament player, Funaro also excels in high-stakes mixed games and frequently appears on television shows such as Poker After Dark. He is known for his aggressive and creative style, particularly proficient at post-flop bluffing and range construction. In mixed games, he adapts his strategy fluidly, applying pressure especially in Pot-Limit Omaha and Seven-Card Stud.
