Jamie Betle

Jamie Betle was born on May 27, 1991, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is the oldest of four siblings. In August 2016, he began daily vlogging, documenting his life as a poker player, weight loss attempts, and efforts to quit smoking. He moved from Calgary to Montreal, Quebec, in September 2016 along with his brother Matt and friend Kevin Martin. Betle got engaged to his long-term girlfriend, Rebecca Hardisty, on November 22, 2018.

Betle first entered the public eye in 2011 as a guest on the Badugi All-Stars podcast. He primarily focuses on online multi-table tournaments rather than live events. His World Series of Poker (WSOP) record includes two money finishes but no final tables or bracelets. He also has one European Poker Tour (EPT) money finish. On March 25, 2018, Betle and his brother Matt won a $150,000 prop bet with Bill Perkins by weighing within one pound of each other exactly one year after the bet started. They later bet $50,000 at 3:1 odds to get below 10% body fat, which was unsuccessful. Betle’s vlogging series also gained attention for documenting the prop bet journey and his daily routines.
