Early Career
John Geenen's first significant recorded cash came in September 2018 at the WSOP Monsterstack SRE 500 event held at Holland Casino Rotterdam. He finished 7th out of 309 entries, earning €5,074.
Major Results
In March 2019, Geenen finished runner-up in the Small Ball €100K GTD tournament at Holland Casino Venlo. The event attracted 1,079 entries, making it the largest poker tournament ever held in the Netherlands at that time. Geenen reached a heads-up deal with winner Arie Groen, securing €20,000 for himself.
Later in June 2019, Geenen won the Dealers Choice event at the Breda Poker Series, which replaced a scheduled High Roller. The unique format allowed players to choose between No Limit Hold'em, Crazy Pineapple, and Pot Limit Omaha. Geenen took first place after a heads-up deal, collecting €2,357.
