Jonathan Haidsiak's recorded tournament results date back to 2014. His first major cash came in May 2014 at the WSOP Circuit - The Lodge Casino, where he finished 7th out of 330 entrants in Event #11: No-Limit Hold'em Main Event, earning $17,112.

Two years later, in April 2016, Haidsiak cashed twice at the WSOP Circuit - Horseshoe Council Bluffs:

• Ring Event #8: Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better – 4th place out of 89 entrants for $2,692.
• Ring Event #10: $580 No-Limit Hold'em – 12th place out of 124 entrants for $1,271.

In 2014, Haidsiak participated in the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Golden Gates Casino main event. He reached the final table and was eventually eliminated in 7th place, earning $13,590. During this event, PokerNews reported that Haidsiak was successfully employing a “shove-or-fold” strategy. In one hand, he jammed 100,000 with pocket aces (A♠ A♣) against Danny Ray Gonzales's A♥ 10♠, holding on a jack-high board to double up.

Haidsiak was later eliminated in 7th place when he open-shoved for 230,000 from the cutoff with 5♥ 4♣. Dan Colpoys called with K♥ J♣ on the button. The board ran out J♠ 2♠ 3♠ 7♠ 7♣, giving Colpoys kings and sevens, and Haidsiak was sent to the rail.

Based on available reports, Haidsiak tends to play aggressively in short-stacked situations, frequently employing all-in or fold tactics. His hand at the MSPT final table, where he shoved with 5-4 suited, reflects a willingness to gamble when the situation demands it.
