Kevin Khouiss

Kevin Khouiss is an Australian poker player who made his mark in the mid-2000s on the live tournament circuit in Australia and New Zealand. Known on the PokerNetwork forums as "The Phantom," he primarily competed in events at Crown Casino in Melbourne and other regional venues.

Khouiss's most notable results came in the Australian Poker Championship (Aussie Millions) series. In 2004, he finished second in the #10 Pot Limit Holdem event, earning AU$29,690. He also cashed in three other events that year: 7th in Pot Limit Omaha ($5,125), 9th in Limit Holdem ($3,375), and 7th in Pot Limit Omaha (duplicate event).

In 2005, he placed 9th in the #4 Pot Limit Omaha event at the Crown Australian Poker Championship for AU$2,685. His 2006 Aussie Millions was strong, finishing 3rd in the #14 No Limit Holdem event for AU$16,830 and 23rd in another No Limit Holdem event for AU$1,536.

Outside of the Aussie Millions, Khouiss cashed in the Joe Hachem Deepstack Series in 2008 (6th, AU$3,300), the Star City Sunday Series (5th, AU$4,050), and the NZ Poker Championships 2006, where he placed 3rd in the NL Omaha Championship for NZ$2,300.

Khouiss also found success in team events partnering with Martin Comer. They won the Melbourne Holdem Championships Teams Event in 2005, earning AU$3,006, and the Victorian Poker Championship Teams Event in 2005 for AU$6,600. They also placed 4th in another Melbourne Texas Holdem Poker Championship Teams Event for AU$2,014.

While Khouiss's recorded tournament activity appears to have tapered off after 2008, his consistent cashes in the mid-2000s established him as a capable and respected competitor on the Australian poker scene of that era.
