Matt Affleck, born in Seattle, Washington, began his poker journey online in 2009. He quickly established himself as an online force before transitioning to live tournaments. His early success online laid the foundation for a career that would see him compete against the best in the world.

Affleck's most notable achievement is his deep run in the 2010 WSOP Main Event, where he finished 79th for $500,165 – the largest cash of his career. He has also cashed 158 times in WSOP events, with 18 final tables and over $2.5 million in WSOP earnings.
