Michael Baldwin

Michael Baldwin was born in Norwich, New York, and now resides in Weeki Wachee, Florida. He started playing poker 20 years ago after watching the World Series of Poker on television, beginning his live play at Turning Stone Casino in Oneida, New York. He is a product of the 'Moneymaker boom' and has since balanced poker with his career as a self-employed business owner.

Baldwin’s first WSOP event was the 2015 Colossus, where he finished 2,201st. He has since accumulated over $28,000 in live tournament winnings, typically playing events in the few hundred-dollar range. His largest buy-in prior to 2025 was the $1,000 Mystery Bounty at the 2023 WSOP.

In 2025, a stroke of luck changed his trajectory: after renewing his PokerGO subscription, he won the subscriber promotion for a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat. He described the moment as surreal, initially doubting the email until confirming with PokerGO’s Donnie Peters.

He also won the 2025 SSS Event #10 Megastack, earning $27,500 after a three-way deal, and has cashed in events like the Seminole Hard Rock $400 Deep Stack PLO. One of his most memorable poker moments was finishing first and second with his wife at a Turning Stone tournament—he claims he was the winner, despite her differing opinion.

Away from the tables, Baldwin owns Royal Pool Service and is a devoted family man. He and his wife Heather have three children: Blake, Blair, and Blayn. He loves fishing and coaches youth football, inspired by his youngest son, who is a world champion flag football player. Baldwin is also involved in community fundraising, helping to start a non-profit youth football league after discovering misappropriation of funds in their previous league.
