Michael Wang

Michael Wang was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and learned to play poker as a teenager, primarily through online games under the screen name "miw210." His first recorded live cash came in January 2009, when he won a $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em tournament for $32,685. Throughout the early 2010s, Wang traveled extensively, competing in events across the United States and Europe, including stops at the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) and European Poker Tour (EPT). He made his WSOP debut in 2012, cashing in a $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event for $4,595.

Wang's first major WSOP breakthrough came in 2015, when he won the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event for $466,120, defeating Bryn Kenney heads-up to earn his first bracelet.
