Mukul Pahuja

Mukul Pahuja was born in Hicksville, New York, and grew up as the youngest of four children in a competitive household. Before turning to poker, he worked on a fixed-income trading desk for Bank of America on Wall Street. The transition was a calculated risk: after a successful week at a WSOP Circuit stop in 2009 where he won over $100,000, he decided to leave his finance career behind. With the support of his wife, Alexis, he moved to South Florida to pursue the game full-time. He balances high-stakes poker with being a dedicated father, often choosing to play locally in the Northeast and Florida to stay close to his family.

Pahuja’s most famous achievement came in Season XII of the World Poker Tour, where he earned the WPT Player of the Year award. During that historic run, he reached three final tables, including a second-place finish in WPT Montreal for $362,430 and another runner-up in the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown for $691,965. Although a WPT title has narrowly eluded him, his consistency that season cemented his reputation as one of the most reliable players on the circuit. This victory was especially meaningful as it came at his home casino after twenty years without a win there. He continues to play actively, with a cash in the 2026 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown Championship. Pahuja maintains a low profile but is active on social media under the handle @BigTunaLV81.
