Murilo Figeredo

Murilo Thiago Souza Figueredo, a native of Penha, Brazil, has been a prominent figure in South American online poker for over a decade, particularly in mixed games. His first live WSOP cash came in 2018 at an International Circuit main event in Rio de Janeiro.

The highlight of Figueredo's career came on June 8, 2019, when he won Event #14: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. at the World Series of Poker, earning $207,003 and his first gold bracelet. He outlasted a field of 1,588 players, defeating Las Vegas pro Jason Stockfish in an extended heads-up duel that required an extra day. Figueredo came from behind twice on the final day, eventually securing the win. The victory was celebrated boisterously by a large Brazilian rail, and he immediately shared the news with his family via video call.

Figueredo is also a decorated online tournament player. He won the Event #46-M ($109 8-Max Freezeout) in the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) for his third WCOOP title overall and second of that series. He demonstrated resilience, coming back from a short stack at the final table to claim the victory.

At the 2025 WSOP, Figueredo recorded six cashes totaling over $29,000. His best finish was 11th in Event #16: $600 Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack, earning $13,712. He also cashed in events including the $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship (271st), $300 Gladiators of Poker (1,788th), $1,500 Razz (70th), $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. (26th), and $1,500 Badugi (65th). These results show his versatility across multiple poker variants.

Figueredo is known for an aggressive, loose-aggressive (LAG) style, particularly effective in mixed games and Omaha tournaments. He is adept at range construction and pressure play, though he emphasizes bankroll management and disciplined decision-making.
