Nick Petrangelo was born on January 2, 1987, in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts. He began playing poker online under the nickname "caecilius" and quickly rose through the ranks of the online tournament scene. In December 2012, he reached the pinnacle of online poker by topping the PocketFives rankings, which lists the most successful online tournament players worldwide. His online prowess continued to grow, and in September 2017, he won the high-roller event of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) on PokerStars, taking home $625,000.
