Patrick Azzouzi's public tournament record began in 2007, when he first cashed in the "Planet 40" event at Cercle Gaillon in Paris. In early 2008, he finished fourth in the Barrière Poker Tour Bordeaux Main Event for €6,820. In June of the same year, he placed fourth in the Marrakech Poker Open in Morocco, winning €61,527 – the largest single cash prize of his career.

2011 was a fruitful year for Azzouzi. In April, he finished eighth in the Open de Gruissan Main Event (€1,126). In September, he took fourth place in the Barrière Poker Tour Bordeaux Main Event, winning €20,000 plus a WSOPE Main Event package worth €12,000.
