Patrick Andrew McCaw (born October 25, 1995) is an American professional basketball player currently with Raptors 905. He played college basketball at UNLV and was drafted in the second round of the 2016 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. McCaw won three consecutive NBA championships from 2017 to 2019 with the Golden State Warriors (two) and Toronto Raptors (one), becoming the first player to win three titles in his first three seasons while switching teams.

Early Life

Patrick McCaw was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Jeffery and Teresa McCaw. He initially attended Christian Brothers College High School but transferred to Montrose Christian School as a senior, where he averaged 13 points per game and led the team to a 20–5 record and the National Christian School Athletic Association Division I title. After graduating, McCaw was ranked as the 38th-best shooting guard in the country.

College Career

McCaw attended UNLV, where in two seasons he averaged 12.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.0 steals, and 31.7 minutes in 65 games. In his sophomore season, he played 33 games and averaged 14.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.45 steals in 33.7 minutes, recording the second-most steals in the nation. He earned second-team All-Mountain West Conference honors and was named to the MWC All-Defensive Team. On April 4, 2016, McCaw declared for the NBA draft.

Professional Career

Golden State Warriors (2016–2018)

McCaw was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 38th overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft and was traded to the Golden State Warriors on draft night for cash considerations. He made his NBA debut on October 25, 2016, against the San Antonio Spurs. McCaw won his first two NBA championships with the Warriors in 2017 and 2018. During his tenure, he also spent time with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA G League.

Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors (2018–2021)

After two seasons with the Warriors, McCaw played briefly for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018–19 season before being traded to the Toronto Raptors. He won his third consecutive NBA championship with the Raptors in 2019, becoming the first player to win three titles in his first three seasons while switching teams. He remained with the Raptors through the 2020–21 season.

Later Career (2022–Present)

McCaw played for the Delaware Blue Coats from 2022 to 2025, winning an NBA G League championship in 2023. He joined Raptors 905 in 2025.

International Career

McCaw represented the United States at the 2022 FIBA AmeriCup, winning a bronze medal.
