Roman Hrabec

Roman Hrabec was born in the Czech Republic and initially pursued a career in professional ice hockey before transitioning to poker. He began his poker journey as an online multi-table tournament (MTT) grinder, earning a reputation as a digital "MTT beast" before moving to live high-stakes events. His aggressive style and willingness to embrace high variance quickly set him apart in the live arena.

Hrabec's first major live breakthrough came in 2023 when he finished second in the Triton Poker Series Vietnam $25,000 NLH GG Super Millions, earning $653,600. He followed that with a seventh-place finish in the Triton London $25,000 NLH 7-Handed for $126,000. The year 2024 proved to be his career-defining season. In March, he won the Triton Poker Series Jeju $100,000 Main Event, taking home a staggering $4,330,000—the largest prize ever awarded in a $100,000 buy-in tournament at the time. He also triumphed in the Triton Monte-Carlo $40,000 Mystery Bounty event for $1,182,019 (including bounties) and finished fourth in the $200,000 NLH Invitational for $1,867,000.

Hrabec has become a regular on the Triton Poker Series circuit, amassing over $9.48 million in Triton earnings across 15 cashes, with two wins and seven final tables. His Triton highlights include:

He cashed in the 2025 WSOP Paradise $100,000 Triton Main Event for $164,000 and finished 250th in the $25,000 Super Main Event for $55,000. At the 2025 WSOP in Las Vegas, he placed 32nd in Event #89 ($3,000 Mid-Stakes Championship) for $39,293 and also cashed in the $10,000 Main Event for $15,000. In early 2026, he recorded a sixth-place finish in the WSOP $10,000 GGMillion$ High Roller for $186,562 and an 11th-place result in a $2,500 NLH event for $38,713.
