Roman Romanovskyi, known online as "Romeopro," is a Ukrainian poker professional who rose to fame primarily through online tournaments. In 2014, he was ranked second among all players in profit for the first half of the year. One of his early notable achievements was completing a personal challenge in 2013 to earn $111,000 in just 66 days, which he successfully accomplished. His online prowess quickly established him as one of the strongest MTT players in the CIS region.

Romanovskyi's biggest live cash came from the online poker XL Eclipse Main Event in October 2018, where he topped a field of 997 entries in the $1,050 buy-in tournament to win $187,500. The victory was part of a larger series that awarded over $2.7 million in prize money. He also holds numerous results from WSOP Online events, including a 66th-place finish in a $2,100 Bounty NLH Championship for $6,186 and a deep run in the $215 Mystery Millions (639th out of 2,446,824 entries) for $4,523. As of 2025, his total live earnings according to The Hendon Mob stand at $429,940, while his online profit is reported to exceed $4 million.

Romanovskyi is notable for his philanthropic efforts. In late 2016, he announced a charity marathon aiming to donate 66.7% of his profit to charity, originally targeting $600,000 in profit with $400,000 donated. He has since surpassed that goal, accumulating around $1.1 million in profit and donating a significant portion. By 2018, he revealed plans to retire from poker, stating he would decide by November of that year. He previously held events where he gave half of his winnings to those in need, such as a marathon from August to December 2015 where he won $69,000 and donated $34,500.

Romanovskyi is known for a tight-aggressive (TAG) style, especially during deep tournament runs. In the XL Eclipse Main Event, he described playing relatively tight at the final table, relying on good runs and strategic adjustments. He often makes bets with other players regarding profit over set periods, displaying confidence in his technical skills. He is also active in coaching and has a reputation for disciplined bankroll management.

Roman Romanovskyi is a vegetarian and resides in Ukraine. He enjoys setting challenges for himself and has been known to make side bets with peers, including the "Swedish Mafia" (Niklas Åstedt and Simon Mattsson). He once lost a bet that required him to wear a turquoise dress in the game room, which he did without hesitation. He continues to participate in live tournaments in Russian-speaking countries and maintains a blog under the name RomaPlaysPoker.
